Family owned and operated since 1996, Freedom Acres is spread out over 46 beautiful acres of rolling meadows and peaceful forests. A trail ride is one of the most relaxing ways to experience the trails of Mattawa Voyageur Country.

Freedom Acres hosts three (3) English schooling shows annually.
Trail Riding -- $45.00 per person per hour
Trail riding available all year round. Riders must be at least ten (10) years old. Groups of six (6) riders maximum will be accommodated per outing. No experience necessary. Trail rides can be booked by the hour with 24 hours advance notice. Large groups require 50% deposit with 48 hours advance notice to ensure booking and to prevent last-minute cancellation.
Riding Lessons -- $35.00 per person per hour (horse included)
Personalized lessons/instructions offered by the hour with instructor Daisy Collins. Adults and children welcome. No experience necessary.
Staff Parties -- $40.00 per person per hour (horse included)
Celebrate any occasion with your staff. Groups of at six (6) riders maximum will be accommodated at one time. No experience necessary.
Birthday Parties-- $35.00 per child (horse included)
Celebrate your children's birthday at Freedom Acres. Bring your cake and party favours. The children can enjoy horseback games such as relay races, costume games, and musical mounting blocks. All children in the party should be at least seven (7) years old. Groups of ten (10) children maximum will be accommodated for each party. Mini riding lesson will be provided for the children.
Ring Rental -- $25.00 per hour
Riding ring rental available by the hour, 110 sq. ft. X 220 sq. ft. ring.
Monthly Horse Rental -- $150.00
Price includes all Mattawa equestrian shows.
Terms & Conditions
Riding requires helmets that will be provided by Freedom Acres at no additional cost. Appropriate footwear must be worn by all riders (i.e., no sandals). All riders must sign a release form prior to riding.
